Frenchie Training!!

Writer: Debbie FlintDebbie Flint

Oh, how stubborn French bulldogs can be!!! But training is possible,

first things first... Train yourself and for me, that's the hard part!

Train yourself to be consistent with your training set a schedule and stick to it!

And start potty training early, I start in their whelping box slowly moving the pads from covering the entire box to down to one area. It seems to be working well for these current little pups I have now. They are 5 weeks and are only going on the pads, I keep one outside of the box for the momma in case she has to go in between her outside breaks and they use that when I let them all out of the box to play!

Also always use positive reinforcements through verbal and physical rewards. It is so easy to get frustrated when potty training especially! But when your pup has an accident it is your fault, not theirs. evaluate your system, for me, it is getting sidetracked and not sticking to the schedule. I end up trying to multitask and taking my attention off my pup. I always keep a fresh mop bucket ready to clean messes, that just seems easier for me.
